Welcome to my Entropy Video Project!

Within my video, the action that is happening regarding entropy is the gatorade powder being poured from its packed into the cup of water and dissolving into that water.

The order within this project is the stability of the water and the powder in the gatorade packet before they interact with one another.

Both have low entropy before being introduced to one another because they are in stable, set states. When they are moved from those states, and the powder from the Gatorade enters the water, both sides gain entropy as energy is released, and energy is disrupted in both the water and the Gatorade powder. It could also be said the energy of the Gatorade powder is also disrupted somewhat by the air currents that it is moving through in order to reach the water, since it means that some of the Gatorade powder's energy won’t even reach the cup of water and will fly off in another direction.

Meanwhile, the Gatorade that does make it into the cup of water will disrupt it by absorbing the energy from the water and becoming a liquid rather than a solid powder and thus mixing with the water in order to create the yellow hue we see at the end of the video.

In the case of this project, the system is the specific reaction observed between the Gatorade powder and the cup of water, specifically the change between solid to liquid in the case of the Gatorade powder and the change in color in the case of the water. The surroundings aren’t affected by this project as there is no transfer of heat that occurs when this process happens.
